Description

Swept Frame – Gold – Style 813 – a very stylish gold moulding.
• Moulding dimensions 55mm x 27mm (w x d).
• Standard frame sizes from 12” x 10” to 15” x 12”
• Two frame options are available: either as a the rim only or as a complete frame. See below for details.
Frame size
The frame size relates to the size of the glazing, the frame overall size is bigger (see table below).
Frame details
All our swept frames are wood with composition covering and either painted black, ivory, white or are non-tarnishing foiled in the case of the gold and silver. The frame moulding width is 55mm x 27mm (w x d). The 24″ x 20″ frame is shown.
Option – rim only
This option is for the supply of the frame rim only (no back, no acrylic glass and no mount). This rim only option also does not include frame fittings, but these are available – please contact us for details of the choices.
Option – complete frame
This option is for the supply of the complete frame (rim, back, acrylic glass and bevel cut mount). This option includes hangers (for either upright or horizontal hanging) and flexipoints for easy insertion of the image. The frame backing board is 3mm MDF board. Choose this option if your picture/print is not one of our standard frame sizes or it is a standard size but you would prefer a mount as well. When purchasing a Complete Frame, please enter the required aperture size in the box provided.
Aperture details
The aperture size relates to the picture size – the actual aperture is slightly smaller so that your picture does not fall through.
Mount details
We only use top quality Larson Juhl (Arqadia) conservation board. All mounts are bevel cut and the aperture size is slightly smaller than the stated size to prevent the picture falling through. Standard mounts are available in minuet (an ivory white; our most popular mount colour), snow white (a white white), black and Aragon grey (light grey with a fine fleck). If we don’t have a suitable standard aperture for your print then you can order this by selecting “special aperture size required” from the drop-down box above and entering the size required. If you need a different colour mount then we can provide this as an option (see below).
Glazing details
Acrylic safety glazing is fitted as standard. We use 1.8 – 2mm extruded acrylic for our safety glazing (not cheap styrene).
Adhesive Framers Tape
A brown medium weight self-adhesive tape that will not dry out, used for sealing the board back onto the moulding of a picture frame. 50 metre x 38mm roll. A roll will do several frames – if ordering more than one of the same picture frame then order one with the tape and then order again without tape for the remaining frames.

Double and triple mounts – double and triple mounts enhance your picture and can be ordered in numerous colour combinations.
