Clear over-laminating film enhances the art, is moisture proof and will not crack
Available in Satin, Matt and Gloss finishes.
Applying clear over-laminating film to the face of a print bonded to a suitable substrate when framing removes the safety risks of glass breaking. The frame will also be much lighter.
Over-laminating films offer excellent protective coating for all kinds of printed art, posters displays and photos on paper. Especially good for digital prints on canvas. Moisture, finger marks and similar are all readily wiped away.
Specification:
- Satin Clear PVC 50µ + heat activated adhesive 25µ = 75µ total thickness + release paper.
- Matt Clear PVC 75µ + heat activated adhesive 25µ = 100µ total thickness + release paper.
- Gloss Clear PVC 50µ + heat activated adhesive 25µ = 75µ total thickness + release paper.
- The release paper is grid printed to help when aligning and cutting. Made in UK.
- Working temperature range is 85° – 99°C but always test and check. A few inks can change tone under heat.
- Pre-pierced, to allow moisture to escape and minimise silvering. The tiny holes seal up during the mounting process.
- Placing a foam blanket over the laminating film in the press helps push the hot film into the texture of a canvas. This can also give a lustre texture to the film.
